This is the worst example of wrongly given geographic
denomination for a species. While this is the emblem of the Fagaras
Mountains in the Meridional Carpathians, being strictly endemic
there, this taxon was named after the Dinarian Mountains in the
western Balkan Peninsula by Christian
Konrad Sprengel (1750-1816) due to a confusion.
South from Capra Peak, Arges county, 2100m asl, 17th of August
2010.
